TYPHOID AMONG MAORIS
Three Maori children from Kavrern near Omahu, were admitted to the Napier Hospital recently suffering from typhoid fever, and one of them ha* died. Unfortunately the children har! oeen suffering from the disease for thren weeks before being admitted to hospital For some time past a number of M.aor children in the district had complained ot minor stomach troubles, and as th» typhoid patients showed similar symp toms, fever was not suspected. It vras not until the district nurse, Miss Milroy, saw the children, that typhoid was. suspected.
