CHILD FATALLY INJURED
[by TELEGRAPH—riIESS association] GISBORNE. Tuesday While returning to the Kaiti School after a lunch-hour yesterday, a six-year-oltl girl, Jennefer Wellmin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Welhain, was knocked down by a car, receiving head injuries which resulted in her death this afternoon. The car was driven by Mr. A. H. Jackman, of Arakihi Station.
