VON LUCKNER MEMENTO

GIFT TO SCOW OWNER A table runner from the launch Pearl, in which Count Felix von Luckner. and his companions escaped from Motuihi Island, where they were interned during the Great War, is in the possession of Mr. W. F. McClinchie, of Oniokoroa. On one end of the runner is a neat Hag in appliqi#3 and the name Pearl is embroidered at the other. The runner was given by Count von Luckner to Captain Burke, of the Moa,, from whom Mr. McClinchie received it.
