ZOO PHEASANT PENS
The four new pheasant pens at the Auckland Zoo have been completed and some of the birds moved into them from the old runs. This will overcome the crowding which previously existed and make possible the work of renovating the old pens. The now enclosures' have been constructed in accordance with the latest practice, the concrete and close-mesh netting «used in their building rendering them proof against rats. They are a distinct improvement on the old accommodation, and house at present, among others, a number of birds reared at the zoo this season.
