TAKAPUNA BRANCH The first meeting for the year of the Takapuna branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday, Mrs. M. Fotheringham presiding. The resignations of the honorary secretary, Mrs, H. R, B. Jacobi, and the honorary treasurer, Mrs. H. R. Lister, were accepted with regret, Mrs. Fotheringham, on behalf of the committee, thanking them both for their valuable assistance during their years of office. The nurse's report for Takapuna stated that in December there had been eight new cases, 41 visits to homes, 149 visits to the rooms by adults, 126 by babies and 48 by older children. In January 15 new cases had been received, 50 visits paid to homes, 208 visits to the rooms by adults, 202 by babies and 60 from other children. The report from Bayswater for December and January stated there had been three new cases, 10 visits to homes, 86 visits to rooms by adults, 76 by babies and .'35 by older children. Those present at the meeting were:— Mrs. F. H. Martin, Mrs. G. H. Matthews, Mrs. A. W. Short, Mrs. R. 0. Phillips, Mrs. Garfield Stewart, Mrs. S. H. Thomas and Mrs. F. Hannaford.
