PENNANT COMPETITION DRAW FOR COMING SEASON All clubs which took part in the . pennant golf competitions last year have | again entered teams for the ensuing season. These have been graded as follows: —A grade: Akarana, Maungakiekie, North Shore, Titirangi. B grade: First section, North Shore, Pupuke, .Reniiiera, Titirangi; second section, Akarana, Glendowie, Maungakickie, Otahuhu. At tho conclusion of the matches the winners of the B grade sections will play off on a neutral course. This year homo and homo matches will be played and this should add interest to the competition. Foursomes will be played in the mornings and singles in the afternoons. Following is the draw for the first round, to be played on March 22: — _ A Grade. —Akarana v. North Shore, at North Shore; Titirangi v. Maungakiekie, at Maungakiekie. „ B Grade.—First section: litirangi v. rvorth Shore, at Titirangi; Pupuke v. Romuera. at Remuera. Second section: Akarana v. Glendowie, at Akarana; Otahuhu v. Maungakiekie, at Otahuhu. MAUNGATAPERE CLUB'S YEAR [by telegraph—own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Saturday A satisfactory position was revealed by tho report and balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of tho Maungalapere Golf Club. Tho following officers were elected:—President. Mr. E. C. Walker; i'ice-president. Mr. C. E. Foote; club captain, Mr. O. V. Adlam: honorary secretary and treasurer. Mr. H. Atkins; assistant-secretary. Mr. M. Newton: handicappers, Messrs. Adlam and Atkins: committee, the president, the secretary, and Messrs. Adlam, Foote and C S, Stovcns.
