BIG-GAME FISHING
QUESTION OF CRUELTY, EXPERTS FAIL TO AGREE SYDNEY, Feb. 21 The council of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has not been able to reach a definite conclusion as to whether big-game fishing is cruel because of the variance.of expert opinion. The council points out that in ailj case no legal action is possible at present, and even if the law were amended to include fish as animals, it would not apply to fishing beyond the three-mile limit and therefore would be of no practical value.
