SPORT FOR TO-DAY
VISITING CRICKET TEAM YACHT SQUADRON'S REGATTA An unusually varied programme of sporting events has been arranged in Auckland for to-day. To cricket enthusiasts the interesting fixture will be the continuation at Eden Park of the match between the visiting M.C.C. team and Auckland. Play will begin at 11.30 a.m. One of the outstanding aquatic events of the season, the Royal New Zealaud Yacht Squadron's annual regatta at Kawau, will be a strong attraction to-dnv. The Richmond Cruising Club will "hold its annual regatta, in conjunction with the Ponsonby Cruising Club. Trial fours for trophies will bo conducted by the various rowing clubs. Another interesting sporting fixture will be the final of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's senior grade competition at Stanley Street, between Remucra and Eden. A champjpnship athletic meeting will be conducted this afternoon at the Auckland Grammar School by the Old Grammarians' Club, while a points meeting will be held by the Lynndale Club at New Lynn. Club and inter-club bowling fixtures will be continued.
