EMINENT VISITORS
LORD TRENT IN AUCKLAND PARTY TO TOUR DOMINION A distinguished figure in English business circles, Lord Trent, chairman of the board of directors of Boots Pure Drug Company, Limited, arrived by the Mariposa yesterday from Los Angeles on a three weeks' visit to the Dominion. Lord Trent was accompanied by Lady Trent, their daughter, the Hon. Mary Boot, Colonel F. Braitlnvaite and Lady Victoria Braithwaite, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Saul, and Mr. H. S. Hibbins. They are at the Grand Hotel. . Lord Trent, whose home is in Nottingham, is the son of the founder of Boots Pure Drug Company, Limited, his father, the first Lord Trent, having established the business about 50 years ago. Lord Trent has also a large estate in Scotland. During his stay in New Zealand it is his intention to spend some time sightseeing and trout-fishing. Colonel Braithwaite is a well-known English stock exchange broker and is also a director of Boots Pure Drug Company, Limited. During the war he was attached to Lord Haig's stalf. Lady Victoria Braithwaite was formerly the wife of the late Lord Plunket, at one time Governor of New Zealand. Mr. Saul and Mr. Hibbins arc officials connected with Boots Company.
