BORDER DISPUTES
FAR EAST SITUATION JAPANESE ASSURANCE (Received February 20, 6.15 p.m.) TOKIO, Feb. 20 The British Ambassador, Sir Robert Clive, called on Mr. Shigemitsu, Foreign vice-Minister, to inquire as to Japan's policy in regard to the Soviet-Man-chukuan border disputes. He was assured that Japan was determined to seek a peaceful settlement.
