JOSEPH CONRAD'S VOYAGE
CAPE BRETT PASSED EXPECTED IN PORT TO-DAY The email full-rigged ship Joseph Conrad is expected to reach Auckland from Melbourne to-day in the course of her voyage round the world. She was sighted off Cape Brett by the lighthouse-keeper there at eight o'clock yesterday morning. It is expected that, if the moderate west-north-westerly breeze which was blowing yesterday continues, the boat will arrive off Tiritiri this morning. However, she will have a hqad-wind from there, and it may take her some time to beat up the gulf. After being granted pratique she will be towed to her berth at Central Wharf. The Joseph Conrad, the only fullrigged ship on the British register, is a vessel of only 146 tons. She is owned by the well-known writer, Mr A. J. Yilliers, who with a party of friends is voyaging round the world.
