SALVATION ARMY LEAGUE
A delightful function took placo in the grounds of the Salvation Army Eventide Home, Mount Eden, on Thursday afternoon, when the Salvation Army Home League for the district commenced its activities for the year. About 60 ladies, including members and friends, thoroughly enjoyed the programme, which had been arranged by the secretary, Mrs. Adjutant Montgomery. It included community singing, a solo by Lieutenant Gordan (Te Kuiti), a recitation by Miss D. Cooke, a talk by Mrs. Salthouse, and a competition. Afternoon tea concluded a very successful gathering.
