WORK AT TE RAPA BOUCHAL'S FIVE FURLONGS [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Saturday The course proper, 60 feet out from tho rails, provided splendid going at To Rapa this morning, when a number of horses, including several visitors, were galloped. Useful efforts were credited to Boughal, Kilboris, Mangukaha and Wahino Reihi. Cappy ran an easy five furlongs in I.BJ. Grand Score and a colt by Surveyor slipped over three furlongs along tho back in 35 2-ss. Calcutta finished a shade in front of King Theo at the completion of five furlongs in 1.7 1-5. Surview, who is looking well, went three furlongs in 41is. Star Artist, Light Comedy and Whirling were not bustled while running six furlongs in 1.25. A pleasing half milo was recorded by Mangukaha, who recorded 52$s. She did her work evenly throughout and has taken no harm from her race at Rotor ua. Gloucester and Adalene finished practically on terms at tlif> completion of fiv6 furlongs in 1.7J-, tho first two in 27 l-ss. Lo Chasseur, who is to have his first race in the Trial Stakes next Saturday, shaped well in . company with Full Of Scotch over six furlongs in 1.22. Princo Colossus comfortably accounted for Diacqucdoon, who was stopping at tho end, over fivo furlongs in 1.7 i. Prince Colossus' effort was highly satisfactory and ho should perform prominently in tho Storey Memorial Handicap. Jan Ridd was responsible for a smart half milo by defeating Stormy Weather in 545. Kilberis drew attention to his prospects at the coming meeting by running fivo furlongs in 1.0. Ho has benefited by his recent racing. Con Fuoco, who went with him, was several lengths behind at tho finish. Tho best effort of tho morning was that of Boughal, who had a good weight up, and sprinted five furlongs in tho good time of 1.5. Ho is looking a picture and should give a good account of himself in the open sprint next Saturday. L'Allegro shaped well in company with Sinking Fund, who beat him narrowly at tho end of six furlongs in 1.21 4-5. L'Allegro is to start on tho second day of tho Waikato meeting and Bhould have good prospects. Curlew (Dulieu) gave an encouraging display over four fences in company with Folly's Choice (Smith). The latter did not go well. Riding engagements for next Saturday include:—J. Winder, Merial, Calshot, Adalene; A. Gilmer, Surviow, Valorous.
