BUTTER-FAT REVENUE

PAYMENTS IN THE WAIKATO THE JANUARY SUPPLY [FROM OtJR OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Details of the advance payments being made by dairy companies in the Waikato for butter-fat supplied during January indicate an improvement to the extent of Id to ljd per lb., compared with the advance for the corresponding month last year. Suppliers to the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company, Limited, will receive an advance payment for the January supply at the rate of lOd per lb. for finest quality butter-fat for butter-making. This payment is free of share credits. An advance of lid per lb. will'be made to suppliers of firstgrade butter-fat for cheese-making. For January, 1935, payment was at the rate of B}d and 9d for butter and cheese, respectively. The Norfolk Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will make a payment of IOJd per lb. butter-fat for cheese manufacture, representing an advance of ljd on the payment for the corresponding period last year. Farmers supplying the Sunny Park Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will receive lOd per lb. butter-fat for butter-making and lid per lb. butterfat for the manufacture of cheese. For the corresponding period last year disbursement was at the rate of 9d and lOd. The Morrinsville Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will make an advance of 10Jd per lb. butter-fat for butter manufacture, as compared with BJd for January, 1935. The pay-out for butter-fat supplied during December. 1935, was 10id. An advance payment of IOJd per lb. for butter-fat supplied for the manufacture of butter will be made by the Waikato Valley Dairy Company, Limited. For the corresponding month last year payment was at the rate of 9d per lb. The Te Aroha-Tliames Valley Cooperative Dairy Company, Limited, will make an advance payment of 10id per lb. for butter made during January. The pay-out for January, 1935, was 9d per lb. The Hinuera Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will make a payment on the January supply at the rate of lOd per lb. for finest butter-fat making. The advance for the corresponding month last year was B}d. For butter-fat supplied last month for the manufacture of cheese the Tokoroa Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will make an advance payment at the rate of lOd per lb. TATJRANGA ASSOCIATION PAYMENT OF lOd FOR JANUARY [by telegraph OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Saturday The Tauranga Co-operative Dairy Association will pay to suppliers on February 20 lOd per lb. for butter-fat of superfine quality supplied during January. Tbe total pay-out is £22,582, at the rate of lOd per lb. on butter-fat supplied for butter manufacture, and 10id per lb. on butter-fat supplied for cheese. For the same period of last year the pay-out was £16,166, at the rate of BJcl for butter and 9d for cheese.This season so far the company's payout has totalled £137,757, compared with £110,378 for the same period of 1935. KATIKATI ADVANCE PAYMENT OF 10D PER LB. The Katikati Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, has decided to make an advance payment of lOd per lb. for finest quality butter-fat supplied during January. RABBITSKIN SALE LARGE CATALOGUE OFFERED At the Dunedin rabbitskin sale last week catalogues were considerably larger than usual at this time of year. The offerings were comprised mostly of summers and racks, for which there was again a good demand at prices which were on an average about 3d lower than last sale. Compared with values ruling at this time last year, prices todav for racks, summers, milky, etc., show a rise of more than 100 per cent. Following is the range of prices:— Summer broken, 26{d to 28d; runners, 26d to 29d; summers, 25Jd to 30d; small, 15d to lojd; light racks, 31$ d to 33d; prime racks. 32d to 34d; milky, 27d to 34(1; fawn, 12d to 14d; summer black, 12d to 14d; liareskins, 6d to 9d; horsehair, lGd to 18d.
