LONDON MARKET .QUIET NEW ZEALAND AT 95/CHEESE VALUES LOWER The price of New Zealand butter in London has dropped Is, now being quoted at 95s per cwt. The market is quiet. There has also been a drop in cheese values. White is selling at 535, a decrease of about 3d, and coloured at, 57s per cwt., 6d lower than the previous rates. This market also is quiet. (96s to 975); unsalted, 102s (102s). Deliveries: New Zealand, 1742 tons (last year 2182 tons); in store, 3108 tons (last year, 5325 tons). Australian, salted, 94s 6d to 95s (95s to 965); unsalted, 100s (100s). Deliveries: Australian, 2881 tons (last year, 3068 tons); in store, 4536 tons (last year, 3745 tons). The market is quiet. New Zealand retail price, unchanged, Is. Argentine, unsalted, 94s to 99s (92s to 975); Danish, 108s, f.0.b., 126s to 128s spot (104s and 1255); Dutch, unsalted, 97s to 113s (96s to 107s); Polish, salted, 93s up to 96s (90s to 945); unsalted, 94s to 95s (925). BOARD'S EXPORT SCHEDULE NO CHANGE IN RATES The minimum f.o.b. rates fixed by the Dairy Produce Board for the period from February 15 are unchanged as follows:—Butter, lid per lb., and cheese, 53d. These rates are equivalent to 89s Id and 49s 7d per cwt., c.i.f.e., and are less li per cent commission. SALES OF WOOL LARGE INCREASE SHOWN EXPORT FIGURES HIGHER Sales of wool in the Dominion for the first seven months of the season show a large increase, according to returns compiled by Dalgetv and Company, Limited. Dominion offerings comprised 323,955 bales, of which 307,575 were sold, while the corresponding figures for 1934-35 were 230,818 and 200,207. During January, 152,330 bales were offered and 147,216 sold. Exports of wool during January totalled 120,370, against 73,631 for the corresponding period last year. Of the total 5193 bales were shipped from Auckland and Opua. For the seven months' period, 302,568 bales were exported, compared with 186,459 in the previous season, the Auckland and Opua figures being 33,419 and 20,956 bales respectively.
