DISPUTE REGARDING PRICE CONTINUANCE OF DEADLOCK [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] PALMERSTON NORTH, Saturday On the suggestion of the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, representatives of the City Council and the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board held a conference regarding the rates on which the council will take its supply of electricity from the board,- a subject which has 'been in dispute for many months. An offer was made by each side, but both were rejected, with a result that the deadlock continues.
