MISHAP ON MOTOR-CYCLE
PROMINENT HOCKEY PLAYER [llY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGABEI. Friday While travelling along a piece of rough road on his motor-cycle last evening, Mr. M. Bay collided with a motorcar and suffered injuries to his left knee and leg. He was admitted to the Whangarei District Hospital, and his condition is reported to bo satisfactory. Mr. Bay was riding along the Puhipuhi Road near tho junction of the main rond and intended visiting Hikurangi for a cricket practice. His machine, a new one, was considerably damaged. The injured man . is a prominent allround athlete and last year represented New Zealand against the touring Indian hockey team.
