BRONZE CANNON STOLEN

REMOVED IN MOTOR-CAR [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Jan. 18 Burglars entered the grounds of Mr. Justice Greaves-Lord's home on the cliffs at Seaford, Sussex, under cover of darkness, and removed two bronze cannon weighing more than 2001b. No attempt was made to enter the house. Another old cannon which, though valuable, is made of iron, was left. The two missing cannon were bought by Mr. Justice Greaves-Lord some time ago. Their disappearance was reported by a servant. The police were informed, and inquiries show that a motor-car was seen to stop at the gates in tho darkness. Two men entered the grounds. Melted down as' bronze, the cannon could be sold for a good price.
