EXHIBITION TENNIS
COCHET AND AUSTRALIANS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Friday A fine exhibition of tennis was given by Henri Cochet, the famous French player, and the Australian professionals, J. Wjllard, A. Willard and L. Baker, in the Bledisloe Hall, Hamilton, last evening. There was an attendance of 800. A. Willard and L. Baker met in a singles contest, Willard winning 7—fl, G—4, 6—o. Cochet beat J. Willard, 7—5, 6—3.
Five seta were played in the doubles match between Cochet and Baker and the Willard brothers, and the event did not conclude until after midnight. Willard Brothers exhibited great staying power, and won a brilliant match, 2—6, 2—6, 6—2, B—6, 13—11.
