ELECTION OF OFFICERS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Friday The annual conference of the New Zealand Methodist Church opened in Christehurch last evening, with delegates present Jroin all parts of the Dominion. The retiring president, the Rev. J. H. Haslam, inducted into office the president-elect, the Rev. 10. P. Blamires. The following officers were elected:— Vice-president for 1936, Mr. R. S. Hampton (Wellington East); president for 1937, the Rev F. Copeland, minister Of the Whiteley Memorial Church, New Plymouth; secretary for 1937, the Rev. W. A. Burley.
