The Union Company advises that the Omnna was expected to leave Portland last evening for Napier. The Port Whangarei sailed last evening for Wellington, Picton, Blenheim, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. The Poolta. which has been barbound at Greymouth, was expected to sail yesterday afternoon for Auckland. The Pukeko is due on Monday night from East Coast ports, and will sail again on Tuesday for East Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The motor-ship King Edwin, which has been discharging asphalt from Tampico at Prince's Wharf, is scheduled to sail for Sydney at daybreak this morning. The Huia arrived yesterday morning from Melbourne, via Westport, and went to the powder grounds to discharge explosives. She will berth at the viaduct this afternoon. The Margaret W. is due at Orakei at three o'clock this afternoon to unload a cargo of sheep from East Coast ports. She will sail again for the East Coast at four o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. The steamer Port Bowen, which lias been loading at Queen's WharC for London, is expected to sail at daybreak this morning for Gisborne. Wellington. Lyttelton and Port .Chalmers to complete her cargo. The motor-vessel Hokitika, formerly the Northern Company steamer Waipu, which is to engage in trade on the West Coast of the South Island, is scheduled to sail for Wellington. Westport, Greymouth and Hokitika at noon to-day. CANADIAN PLANTER THIS MORNING The Canadian Planter reported by radio yesterday that she would now arrive at eight o'clock this morning from Halifax. The vessel will complete discharge at Wellington and in Austtfalia. and will return to Auckland during tho first week in March to load for New York, Boston and Halifax.

ARRIVALS AT LONDON The Trojan Star, which left .Wellington on December 21, and the Port Hobart, which left Dunedin on January 7, are reported to have reached London on Thursday. WAIRANGI SAILED The Shaw, Savill and Albion motor-ship Wairangi, which has been loading at Queen' 3 Wharf to the agency of L. D. Nathan and Company, Limited, sailed last night for Opua, Napier, Waikokopu and Wellington to complete her cargo. CHIFUKU MARU FROM JAPAN Radio advice haa been received from the Chifuku Maru that she will arrive from Japan this evening. The vessel has cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Russell and Somera, Limited, are the local agents. SURREY TO LOAD The New Zealand Shipping Company, Limited, advise that the Federal Line steamer Surrey will arrive off Russell from Sydney at six o'clock to-morrow morning. She will berth at Opua on Monday to load for West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. She is due at Auckland on Wednesday to continue loading. AORANGI NOW DUE ON MONDAY The Union Company advises the Aorangi will now arrive from Vancouver, via Victoria. Honolulu and Suva, at 6.30 a.m. on Mondav, instead of to-morrow evening. The vessel was late in arriving at Suva, and did not leave until 1.30 a.m. yesterday. She i 3 scheduled to sail for Sydney at midnight on Monday. EMPIRE STAR ARRIVED The new Blue Star Line motor-ship Em- i pire Star arrived from London yesterday morning on her maiden voyage. The vessel 13 discharging at Queen'e Wharf, and will complete unloading at Wellington and Napier. The Empire Star encountered a sti-ong south-westerly swell early last week, but favourable weather was experienced on the remainder of the voyage. BARBOUND AT MANUKAU HEADS The Kaitoa, which was barbound at Manukau Heads on Thursday, crossed the bar outward at 2 a.m yesterday in continuaiton of her voyage to Nelson. The Ronald was not able to cross, however, and remained inside the heads all day. She was later joined by the Hokianga, which also remained inside the heada. Both vessels expected to cross fhe bar early thi3 morning, m route for Hokianga. SAILINGS FROM SYDNEY The Maunganui left Sydney at 10.50 p.m. on Thursday, her departure having been delayed for some hours through ram interfering with loading. She ia due at Wellington on Monday and will sail the following day for Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. The Monowai left Sydney for Auckland yesterday afternoon, and is due here on Monday afternoon. She will leave Wellington on her return voyage to Sydney nest Friday. ANTIGONE WITH BASIC SLAGThe New Egypt and Levant Shipping: Company's steamer Antigone arrived last evening from Immnigham, Lincplnshire. Her cargo of 5958 ton 3of t slag i 3 the largest to be shipped from that port. The vessel took 56 day 3 on the run to Port Kembla. via Cape of Good Hope,. The voyage waa uneventful, and good weather was experienced for the gTeater part of the time. The Antigone is discharging at King's Wharf to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, Limited.
