QUINTUPLETS IN FILM
PRODUCTION COMMENCED An unusual " location trip " was undertaken recently with the departure of a production unit from the 20th Century-Fox Btudios for Callander, Ontario, for the purpose of filming scenes for Darryl F. Zanuck's production, " The Country Doctor," in which the world's most famous b&bies, the Dionne quintuplets, appear. Henry King, the director, headed the party bound for the village made world famous by the arrival there on the night of May 29, 1934, of Marie, Annette, Cecile, Yvonne and Emelie Dionne. The supporting cast of " The Country Doctor " is headed by Jean Hersholt, selected for the role of Dr. Roy Luke, Lewis Stone, who will enact the part of Dr. Paul Luke, and Dorothy Peterson. The screen's youngest staro will be directed by Kiog, under the personal supervision of Dr. Allan Roy Dafoe, who has played such an important part in the lives of the quintuplets. These scenes have been arranged with the approval of Mr. David A. Croll, Minister of Public Welfare of the Province of Ontario, and guardian of the children. Sonya Levien, prominent Hollywood scenarist, who, with Charles Blake, is author of " The Country Doctor, accompanied the film unit.
