NATIONAL FLOWER SHOW TO BE HELD IN MARCH Horticultural Week will be celebrated for the first time in Auckland early in March, when the New Zealand Flower Show will be hold from March a to 7, and the national horticultural organisations will hold their annual conferences. Preparations for the national show are being pushed forward steadily by the I Auckland Horticultural Society, and it is hoped to make it one of the best of its kind ever held in the Dominion. Horticulturists from all parts of the Dominion arc expected to visit Auckland for Horticultural Week, which is held each year under tho auspices of the Institute of Horticulture, the Horticultural Trades' Association, the Seedsmen's and Florists' Associations, and the association of directors of parks and gardens. Matters connected with special branches of horticulture are dealt with at these conferences, which have done much good for horticulturists in past years. Horticultural Week will conclude • with a floral fete on Saturday, March 7. Half the gate receipts will be devoted to the fund for crippled children, and it is expected that large crowds will attend. In connection with Horticultural Week, a souvenir magazine has been published by the National Flower Show Committee. It contains valuable information for all those interested in horticulture, and makes a handy reference book, useful throughout the year, for those who make a hobby of exhibiting at flower shows. Schedules for the show can be secured from all seedsmen and" florists, and from the secretary, Mr. N. Pierce, imperial Buildings' Queen Street.
