METHODIST CIRCUIT
The acceptance of Miss Marion Powell as a local - preacher was reported at the quarterly meeting of the Auckland Central Circuit of the Methodist Church. She hopes to proceed to China as a missionary shortly. It was agreed to observe local preachers' Sunday on April 12. Messrs. L. E. Rhodes and H. B. Hnlstead were re-elected circuit stewards for the year. Messrs. L. E. Rhodes, H. B. Halstead, S. K. Chappell and C. Payne wore elected representatives to the forthcoming conference, with Mrs. J. C. Chapped, Mrs. J. Simms and Mrs. Partington as substitutes. Other circuit appointments were: —Foreign mission secretary, Mr. 1:1. .J. Hutson; homo mission secretary, Mr. C. Copping; youth secretary, Mr. N. Robson.
