LONG GLIDER FLIGHT

AN AMBITIOUS PROPOSAL An ambitious glider flight to Dunedin from some poiut in Canterbury yet to be decided upon is contemplated by Mr. Frank Rutherford, of Sheffield, 40 miles from Christehurcli, and plans are now being laid for the event. Mr. Rutherford proposes to use n glider built some time ago in Christehurcli by Mr. B. Owen. The route for the flight would be surveyed beforehand, he said, and it might bo necessary to make an aeroplane survey flight before the glide could bo made.
