ABOLITION ADVOCATED REQUEST TO COUNTY COUNCIL RAGLAN RESIDENTS' PETITION [ FKOM on: OWN coubesponoknt] HAMILTON. Thursday A request that the Haclan Town Board be abolished and that the township's affairs should be controlled by the Raglan County Council wa« received at a meeting of the Ranlan County Council yesterday. A petition supporting t'ie request was presented. .Mr. K. H. A. Cushman said it was felt that the council was better fitted to administer the town than the existing Town Board. Mr. Cushman assured the council that no one would be antagonised by the proposal. It was agreed that a meeting of residents should be ca.led to discus-s the proposal with the council. Similar requests have been received by the council from the Ohaupo end Kihikihi Town Boards.
