LABOUR IN CANADA
PENDING LEGISLATION OTTAWA, .Tan. 15 Intimating that labour legislation, including a 30-hour week without reduction in wages, would be considered, the Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, told a delegation from the Trade Congress of Canada that he would never agree that workers at the age of 60 should bo retired as useless to stimulate trade and industry. Instead the Government would make jobs for men over GO.
