Mrs. H. 'I revelyan is spending a holiday at Waiwora. Mrs. Sutherland, of Hamilton, is visiting Waitara. Mrs. .1. (). Dick, ol' Worcliester, lingland, is at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. Nigel Markham, ol Waterloo Quadrant, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. A. L. Stedman, of Heuiuera, has returned from a visit to Wanganui. Mrs. E. Morecroft and Mrs. E. Hemming, of Opunake, are at the Central Hotel. Mrs. G. A. Hislop, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. E. H. Blundell, of Kawakawa. Mrs. T. P. Halpin and Miss Theo Hal pin returned to Auckland yesterday from Napier. Mrs. N. Perry, of London, and Miss P. Landman, of Napier, are at the Station Hotel. Mrs. F. J. Savill, of Hanmer Springs, is the guest of Miss Hilda Miles, Wellington, for race week. Lady Poniare, who lias been on a motor tour of the North Island, has returned to Western Hutt. Mrs. R. S. A. Graham and family, of Hamilton, have left for a holiday at Ohope Beach, Whakatane. M iss Ruth Pearse, of Temuka. is spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs. 1). B. Higgins, of Matamata. Miss Moana Howell, of Taneatua, is spending a holiday in Devon port and is the guest of Mrs. U. Travis, Roslyn Terrace. Miss E. M. Cornish, of Paparoa, who has been spending a fortnight's vacation in Wellington, has returned home. Miss Jean Bowe, of Te Aroha, has returned home, after a holiday spent at Mount Maunganui and Thames Coast. Mrs. C. S. King, of Rotorua. accompanied by her two small sons, is spending the holidays at Onetangi, W 7 aiheke, prior to visiting Auckland. Mrs. H. G. Denham, of Fendalton, Christchuroh, accompanied by her husband, Dr. Denham, will leave Auckland by the Doric Star on February 6, to visit Britain. Mrs. Buchanan and her family have returned to Feilding after having spent a holiday with Mrs. Buchanan's brother, Mr. Richard Cobbe, of Ratanui, Waikato. Mrs. L. C. Boulton, wife of the commander of the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, returned to Wellington this week from Samoa. She was a passenger on the vessel, having made the round trip from Wellington. A social afternoon was- held by the Henderson branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union to welcome Mrs. Arthur, of Timaru, who is on a visit to her daughter in Auckland. The roll call, "Best cure for the 'blues,' " was well responded to. Mrs. Piatt presided.
