DARG AVILLE TOURNEY RESULTS OF FIRST DAY [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] DARG AVILLE. Thursday A three-day bowling tournament, organised by the Dargaville Bowling Club, opened at Dargaville this morning in dull, warm weather. The greens were fairly heavy after recent rain, but are expected to improve if the fine spell continues. The Whangarei and Kensington Clubs are represented by strong teams, and prior to the start of play the visitors were welcomed by the president, Mr. F. E. Barnard. Three rounds of section play were concluded to-day, and the remaining two rounds will be played to-morrow. Results to date arj as follows : Section I.—Main. Wilkinson. Morris. Greville (Dargaville), and Appltton. Taylor. Ratcliffe, Bngby (Dargaville), 3 wins each; Gordon, Munn, Hughes, Vodanovich (Dargaville), 2 wins: Newman, Clark, Courteney, Allin (Whangsrei), 1 win: Menzies, Campbell, Evans, Whitelaw (Wharigarei). and Hill, Searle, Worsley, McDermott (Dargaville), 0 wins. Section 2.—King, Roper. Stark, Davejr (Dargaville), 3 wins; Cyprian, Evison, Doxey, Begg (Dargaville), 2 wins; Roberta.
