BUTTER-FAT PAYMENTS

WAIKATO COMPANIES INCREASE IN ADVANCES [fhom our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will make an advance of 9Jd per lb. butter-fat for finest quality cream supplied for buttermaking during December. The payment will be free of share credits. Cheese suppliers will receive an advance of lOd per lb. butter-fat. In January," 1935, the company's advances were 7£d and 83d per lb. respectively. Other companies will make the following payments, last year's figures being given in parentheses:—Morrinsville, butter, IOJd (Sd); Norfolk, cheese, 10£ d (9d); Sunny Park, butter, lOd (7d); cheese, lid (8d); Te ArohaThames Valley, butter, (73d); Tokoroa, cheese, lid (Sd); Cambridge, butter, 10 Jd; cheese, 11 id; Waikato Valley, butter, lid (7Jd); Taupiri, butter, lOd (Sd). EAST TAMAKI ADVANCE DISTRIBUTION OF £24,291 The East Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, will make an advance payment to suppliers for December butter-fat at the rate of lid per lb. for superfine, the total payment being £2-1,291, as against £17,715 for the corresponding month last year with an advance of 9d per lb. Butter manufactured for December totalled 290 tons, compared with 266 tons for December, 1934. The total butter manufacturedjso far this season is 133S tons. THE KAITAIA FACTORY REDUCED DECEMBER OUTPUT [by telegraph OWN correspondent] IvAITAIA, Wednesday The Kaitaia Co-operative Dairy Company is making an advance payment of lOd a lb. for first-grade butterfat supplied during December. The output of butter for the month totalled 265 tons 18cwt., a reduction of 10 per cent on the figure for the corresponding period of the previous season. The output for the season is now 900 tons, compared with 1003 tons for the corresponding period last season. The average grade of the December output of butter was 94.16 points.
