LONDON WEDDINGS
ATTERBURY—OLDERSHAW [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Oct. 12 In St. Judo's Church, Courtfield Gardens, London, on October 5, the wedding took place of Miss Dorothy Oldersliaw, daughter of the late Commander W. G. Oldershaw and Mrs. M. Oldershaw, of Auckland, and Earl's Court, London, to Alan Crandon Alter bury, son of the late Dr. Walter Atterbury and Mrs. E. of Whangarei. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L'. J. Matthews and the? church was attractively decorated with chrysanthemums. in autumn tints. Mr. H. Labrun-Johnsoh gavo away the bride, who wore a gown of parchment satin, with deep flounce of silk net trimmed with flowers of satin and silver leaves. She wore siatin gloves and gold shoes, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridal veil of tulle was arranged from a head-dress of gold leaves. The three bridesmaids were Miss Betty Partridge (cousin of the bride), Miss June Atterbury and Miss Yivyen Atterbury (nieces of the bridegroom). They all wore dresses of green organdie with wreaths of gold flowers, and they carried bouquets of yellow tea roses and blue forget-me-nots. The best man was Mr. W. Lawrence Donohue, and the groomsmen were Mr. Erol F. Atterbury and Mr. Oscar R. Griffin. Following'the wedding a reception was held by the bride's mother at 4 Barkston Gardens.
PROCTER—PARKERSON The wedding of Mr. Thomas Geoffrey Procter, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Procter, of Auckland, and formerly of Chiistchurch, and Mis<* Eleanor Cowley Paikerson, daughter of the late Mr. Edward Parkerson and Mrs. Parkerson. of Christchurcli, took place in Christ Church, Lancaster Gate, London, on October 5. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. F. Andrews (uncle of the bridegroom). Dr. Roland F. Wilson, of Invercargill (cousin), gave the bride away. The bride wore a frock of deep parchment satin, with cowl neck, pointed sleeves and long cream waist girdle, knotted and hanging loosely to the hem. The bridal veil was lent by Mrs. F. W. Dunnage, of Christchurcli. A sheaf of Christmas lilies and fern was carried. Miss Joan Andrews (cousin of the bridegroom) was in attendance as bridesmaid, wearing a picture frock of peach pink taffeta, with large organdie picture hat and gauntlet gloves of taffeta. Slle carried a Victorian posv of pink and mauve flowers. Mr. Charles Rudd, of Auckland, was best man.
