FINE NOVEMBER IBBUE Travel, humour, sport and items of interest in New Zealand are well combined in , tlio November issue of tho New Zealand "Railways Magazine which was published recently. Other splendid features fxc pictures of Nqw Zealand life and a special section for women. A very/ interesting articlo is one about tho modern town planning in the newly-formed Napier, showing tho admirable foresight which has been used. The monthly feature "Famous Now Zealanders" is devoted to the Heuhefi family, the hereditary paramount chiefs of Taupo, and their history is traced down to tho present chief Hoanui to Houhou. Two entertaining travel stories are ."New Zealand Journey" and " Limited Night Entertainments," while there is a special section devoted to humorous paragraphs. The magazine is particularly well set out, with an attractive cover showing a figure dad in a bathing suit holding a banner with the backgrond of a largo crowd in holiday mood. Illustrations are lavishly provided, and a very fine oti« show.* the Wairua Falls on the iSVairoa River.
