WELL-KNOWN RUNNER ATHLETIC COUNCIL OBJECTS [BY TELEGRAPH —I'RESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday The position of L. C. McLachlan, the prominent Now Zealand middle and long distanco runner, whoso name has recently been used in an advertisement appearing in the Wellington newspapers, was reviewed at a meeting of the Coun"oil of tho New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night. It was decided to bring tho rule referring to tho position to the notico of McLachlan, and request the withdrawal of tho advertisement.
