Mrs. Barton dealt with the dress of the Abyssinians, their advancement in Christianity, the general customs of the people and the question of slavery. In speaking of their dress Mrs. Bartun said that the Abyssinians had their clothes made perfectly square The only difference between the dress of women and men was that in the case of the former a square-rut scarf, draped the right arm and in the case of the men the left arm was draped.
