HAMILTON FUNCTIONS
SONNING OLD GIRI.S Organised by members of the Waikato Diocesan and Sonning Old Girls' Association to raise funds toward the Diocesan Scholarship Fund a successful bridge evening was held at tho home of Miss Edna House in Hardloy Street, Hamilton, recently. The hostesses were Miss Edna House, who wore a frock of green and ivory printed chiffon, and Miss Kathleen Hears in honey-coloured suede lace. Mrs Guy Bindon was the winner for bridge. Among those present were:—Mrs. G. Bindon, Mrs. D. 11. Wood, Mrs. W. Adams, Mrs. H. N. Hallett, Mrs. d'Arcy Smith, Miss Cecille Chitty, Miss M. House, Miss Noreen Seigel, Miss Bunny Johnstone, Miss Dell Yule, Miss Alison Coventry, Miss Ethel Seavill, Miss Doreen Sandford, Miss Mary Gillies, Miss Betty Clarke, Miss Mavis Hall, Miss Nell Ward, Miss Jolly, Miss Rickit, Miss Mary Speight, Miss Elsio Bullock, Miss Ethel Upton, Miss Mary Beale and Miss Wilson. Before a large and appreciative audience a successful reading was given by St. Aidan's Social Club at Mrs. Zehla Fahey's studio, Hamilton. A play, "The Marriage of Kitty," by S. G. Lennox, was chosen for the occasion. The cast comprised:—.John Travers, Mr. Clarry Collins; Sir Reginald Belsize, Mr. Douglas Lepine; Kitty Silverton, Miss Elsie Strang; Madamo de Semiano, Miss Moya Forster; Hampton, Mr. Baker; Norbury, Mr. Harold Robinson; Rosalie, Miss Margaret Roles.
