WEDDING
BATSON—EVANS St. George's Church, Kingsland, was the sceno of an interesting wedding oij Saturday evening, October 12, when Florence Amy, second daughter of Mrs. G. E. Evans, of Rocky Nook, was married to Roy Fredrick, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Batson, Onehunga. The Rev. John Cable, of Henderson, officiated and Miss Jackson played tho wedding music. Tho bride, who was given away hv her undo, Sir. J. B. Evans, of Holensvillo, looked very charming in a sheath-liko frock of parchment satin falling to a slight train. Tho daintily embroidered veil was caught softly to tho head with small sprays of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of cream roses and sweob peas. The bridesmaids were tho Misses Ethel and Gwenyth Evans, sisters of tho bride, who woro similar frocks of cherry volvot, mittens of cream laco and headdresses to match. They carried bouquets to tone. Mr. J. Batson, brother of tho bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. Robert Farrell groomsman. After tho ceremony tho guests were entertained at the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk, where Mrs. Evans, wearing a navy frock relieved with floral trimming and navy hat to match, received the guests. Sho carried a bouquot of dark red roses and tulips. With her was Mrs. Batson in navy and white, whose bouquot was in tonings of pink. Mrs. C. Brown, grandmother of the bride, woro a black ensemble with hat to match, and sho carried a bouquot of niauvo anemones and tulips.
