TAURANGA CLUB'S YEAR [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Tuesady There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Tauranga Defence Rifle Club, the deputy-president, Mr. D. Matlieson, presiding. The report showed that tho past year had been successful. The credit balance as at Junci 30 was £ls:. and the excess of assets over liabilities was £42. Officer# for th<i ensuing year were elected us follows; Patron, Hon. C. E. Macmillan; vice-patrons, Mr, L. R. Wilkinson, A. F. Tunics; president, Mr. A. J. Mirrelees; vicepresidents, Mr. C. J. Kiddie; Mr. H. Oliver; necretnry, A. Johnston; auditor, Mr. A. J. Gallagher; committee, Messrs. D. Matheson, F. A Eustace, W. J. Johnston,' H. Oliver. P. G. Mcintosh, H. Ward. It was decided to affiliate with the National Rife Association. Trophies won during the past season were presented by the Mayor, Mr. L. R. Wilkinson. PAEROA SEASON OPENS [by telegraph:—own correspondent] PAEROA. Tuesday The Paeroa Defence Rifle Club opened its season on its Ksmata range on Saturday.
