BISHOP CONSECRATED
SOUTHERN SOLOMONS CEREMONY IN WELLINGTON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] • WELLINGTON, Monday In the presence of a large congregation at the St. Mary of the Angels Church, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Jean Marie Aubin, S.M., was consecrated as Roman Catholic Bishop of the Southern Solomons. Archbishop O'Shea, Metropolitan of New Zealand, Bishop Whyte, of Punedin, and Bishop Brodie, of Christchurch, officiated at the ceremony. The consecrating prelate at the Pontifical Mass in the morning with Archbishop O'Shea, who was supported by Bishops Whyte and Brodie, with the Rt. Rev. Father Connolly as assistant priest. Solemn Pontifical Benediction was held in the evening, when Bishop Brodie delivered the sermon..
