TROUBLE WITH SCRUMS
EFFECT UPON BACKS LONDON, Oct. 13 The Times says the All Black forwards show mysterious ineptitude in the scrums, which is threatening tho morale of tho backs, who wero no more effective than the forwards against tho South of Scotland. Tho All Blacks did littlo when they got the ball, and any first-class pair of halves would have beaten them on their own. Fortunately for the New Zealanders, the South of Scotland pack made the fatal mistake of not keeping the match a forward battle. If thoy had done so, the All Blacks would have been beaten as decisively as at Swansea.
