PREPARED FOR SANCTIONS
THE ITALIAN ATTITUDE APPREHENSIVE BUT RESOLUTE ROME, Oct. 13 Officials hint that all preparations have been made to face economic sanctions, but they refuse to give details. Opinion generally is apprehensive regarding the effects of sanctions on both Italy and world trade, but resolute that the challenge must be faced.
Signor Gayda, editor of Giornale d'ltalia, declares that Italy is able to meet by self-denial all sanctions, the effect of which will be like a boomerang, as Italy in the future will refuse to buy from her persecutors.
