LADY GOLFER HONOURED
EAST TAMAKI FUNCTION A gift afternoon in honour of Miss E. Grant, on the occasion of her approaching marriage, was accorded her by her fellow members of tho Otahuhu Ladies' Golf Club and other friends at East Tamalci on Saturday afternoon. Over 40 wero present at the function, which was hold at Hampton Park, the residence of Mrs. A. E. Grant, jhe wide verandahs were utilised _ by the guests in a bridge competition and items wero rendered at intervals by Mrs. Quin and Mrs. Possenniskie. The winners of tho bridge games wore Mrs. Possenniskie and Miss I. J hompson. Afternoon tea was served and Miss Grant acknowledged the compliment that had been paid her. . Among tho ladies prcsont wero: Mrs. Potrie, Mrs. Cunnokl, Misses E. and D. Grant, Mrs. McNeeley, Mrs. A. K. Belcher, Mrs. W. Wyman, Dr. Gladys Rowlev, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. G. Cox, Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. J. J. Valentine, Mrs. Speakman, Mrs. T. Trenwith, Mrs. Hodges, Mrs. ParkerHill, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. England, Mrs. Davies, Mrs. W. Eustace, Mrs. A. E.
