REPORTS OF MANAGERS Blackwater (Reefton). —Development last month: —No. 11 level: The winze at 25G0ft. north holed through the reef exposed in the winze averaged 30in. wide and 13dwt. value. No. 12 level: The winzo at 2350 ft. north has been sunk 59tt. in the hangingwall and will strike 1 the reef Bhortly. North shaft: The repairs between Nos. 12 and 13 levels have been completed and a sump 25ft. deep is being sunk. The decreased yield for the month was duo to several atopes being narrow and yielding eicess mullock. Down of Hope (Thames).—The crosscut to intersect No. 1 and 2 winzes has been advanced 12ft. in n very favourable class of andesite. Another 19ft. 'of driving will intersect the leef and bring us directly under No. 2 winze.

Monday At the fortnightly pig sale conducted at Tatipiri to-day bv the New Zealand Loan nnd Mercantile Acenc.y Company,• Limited, there was a full yarding of fat pigs, which consisted mainly of porkers and a sprinkling of baconers. Competition was good and i\ total clearance was effected at values well up to recent quotations. A large yarding of store and wenner nigs also elicited keen competition. and values were well up to last Frankton rates. Baconers made £1 15s to £2 17a: medium, £2 10s to £2 14s; light baconers and heavy Dorkerß. £1 ISs to £2 8s: porkers. £1 lis to £1 17s: Bmall Workers. £1 Cs to £1 10a: stores, £1 4s to £1 6s: best slips, £1 to £1 3s: others. 18s to £1: weaner*. 150 to 18s.

RECORD PRICES FOR HEIFERS Dalgety and Company, Limited, reports having hold its usual stock sulc nt Ohaupo on Friday. There wns a large yarding of over 250 head of cnJ,tle of nil classes. Practically the whole yarding wns sold under the hammer at top market rates, Yearling heifers were in keen demand and record prices for the season wore obtaind for n line of yearlings sold on account of Mr. Williamson, mid bought by Mr. J. Bones, of. Knipuki. HORSES SELL WELL AT KAMO [from our own correspondent"] W HANG AR EI. Monday Dalgetj and Company. Limited, reports a very good horse fuir at Kamo on Friday when the fully advertised yarding came forward. Horses of outstanding quality sold at full late rates under keen competition. The top price, £45. was paid by Mr. B. Rogers, of Pukehuia, for a draught mare sold on account of Mr. M, J. O'Shea, of Whanynrei. Mr. O'Shea paid £3O for a fine two-year-old colt sola on account of Mr. J Worsnop, of Kuatangata.
