LABOUR DAY PROGRAMME TOURNAMENT ARRANGED HISLOP CUP COMPETITION Tito Labour Day golf tournament will bo held this year at tlie Titirangi links from Saturday to Monday. The programme includes the medal champion,ship over ;'G holes for the Hislop Cup. There will also bo qualifying rounds on handicap for tho Titirangi Cup, played in conjunction with the championship. The usual group handicaps and medal, bogey, Stableford and four-ball handicaps will also be played.
MANUKAU DEFEATS CLEVEDON A match between teams representing the Manuknu and Clevedon Golf Clubs was played during the week-end, Manukau winning by seven matches to two, two being all Bquare. Details are as follows, Manukau names being mentioned first: —Alexander beat Currie, 1 up; Beechey beat Waters, 2 mid 1; A. G. Smith lost to L. Jones, 3 and '2; W. Blnir beat M„. Dow, 7 and G: Busing beat Colquhoun. 2 and 1: Ifobson beat Oriuii, 3 and 2; Dreadon lost to Knight, 3 and 1; Arthur and Henderson, all square: C'&lbeck beat Brown, 3 and 2; Grant beat Wells, 2 and 1; W.
