"OUR MISS GIBBS"
, PRESENTATION TO-NIGHT It seems a happy choice that Miss Madge Elliott and Mr. Cyril Hitchard should appear in the ever-popular "Our Miss Gibbs" to say good-hve to their host of admirers in Auckland. The season of 17 nights which was allocated to Auckland will terminate next Saturday evening, and these two popular artists, accompanied by the other members of the J. C. Williamson musical comedy company, will leave for New Plymouth over the week-end. The management states that the production of "Our Miss Gibbs," which will commence at His Majesty's Theatre tonight, is not a revival, but an absolutely now 19'J5 production of this popular play, which, for many years, held long-run records in England, America and Australia. There are 30 in tlio cast, including Freddie Foss, the English comedian, who will make his first npiwaranco in New Zealand, lioo Franklyn, Ethel Morrison, Frank Leighton, Diana du Cane, Marie Le Varrc, Field Fisher, John Dobbio, Mary Ijigby, Charles Zoli, and many others. The play, which •» produced by Cyril Ritchard, is in two acts. The first takes place in Garrod's Stores, the second in the Court of Honour at the FrancoBritish Exhibition. There arc 21 musical numbers, dances, and ballets, including several which will be backed by magnificent spectacular effects.
