INFANT SUFFOCATED
SLEEPING IN PERAMBULATOR SHAWL OVER THE FACE An infant, Thomas John Allah Barry, aged two months, was accidentally suffocated in his perambulator at the heme of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas John Allan Barry, 143 Bassett Road, Remuera, at the week-end. The child was placed in his perambulator between 10 and 11 o'clock on Saturday night and slept peacefully all night. It was heard to cry in the morning, but when Mrs. Barry went to attend to the child he was not breathing. The shawl was over the infant's face. An inquest concerning the fatality will be opened this morning before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner.
