KING COUNTRY FARMS
PLAN FOR REHABILITATION " IMMENSE POSSIBILITIES " [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN COKRESPOXDEXT] TE KUITI, Thursday Full support for the scheme for the rehabilitation of King Country farms was advanced by Mr. W. S. Cato, chairman of the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce, when Mr. W. Bromley, deputy-chairman of the Unemployment Board, and Mr. W. Robinson, undersecretary of lands and the chairman of the Small Farms Board, visited the district in connection with the scheme. Mr. Cato said there were immense possibilities of further development. Mr. Bromley said the work already done in this way in the King Country showed the possibilities there were in placing men on the land. Mr Robinson stated that Mr. May, district engineer of the Public Works Department, would supervise the development work, while Mr. B. Jordan, who from now on would become a member of the Small Farms Board's staff, would supervise the farming operations. Mr. Robinson said that only those who knew the King Country could .visualise the possibilities in the regeneration of these lands.
