VICTORIA LEAGUE
An afternoon party was given by the Victoria League's ever-ready committee to the patients at thff Knox Home. An excellent musical programme was rend< tred, several old-time songs and choruses being included. Dongs were contributed by Mrs. H. Buisson, Mrs. Owen, Miss P. Renner and Miss E. Hutchison; choruses by the Misses J. Bishop, Althea Morley, Norma Bain, M. Hutchison and M. Parkinson; and sketches and recitations by the Misses M.- Parkinson, Mary Cruicksbank and Peggi Cruicksnank. The accompanists were Mrs. Tate, Miss L. de Renzy and Miss E. Hutchison. Books and magazines were distributed and afternoon tea brought the afternoon to a close. Amoifg those present were Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, chairman of the ever-ready committee, Mesdames' L. S. Rickerby, F. Thomson, Stanley Chambers, Preston Chambers, Bnshill, R. McKay, W. Wprrall. E. Edgar, Kohn, Carr-Smith, Gifford. deal, Green and Maguire, and the Misses E. and H. Keesing, Paterson, Lorie and Langsford.
