WOMEN'S MEMORIAL HALL

FUNCTION AT TAKAPUNA The committee members of the Women's Memorial Hall, Takapuna, yesterday held a bridge and mah jongg afternoon at the hall in aid of funds for chairs. The prize-winners were:Mrs. C. W. Mcßride, mah jongg; Mrs. H. Matthewman, contract bridge; and Mrs. Mellor, auction bridge. In the absence of the president, Mrs. W. R. Wilson, the treasurer, Mrs. J. W- Williamson, received the guests. The committee comprised:—Mrs. E. Grimwade (hon. secretary), Mrs. F. d'Esterre, Mrs. T. B. Arthur, Mrs. A. Goodwin, Mrs. Morton and Mrs. J. Thompson.
