ACTIVITY OF MARKET FIRM TO HIGHER PRICES (Received September 26, 7.46 p.m.) SYDNEY. Sept. 26 On tho Sydney Stock Exchange today practically all sections of the market were active at firm to higher prices. Buyers operated with considerable confidence. Tooth's Brewery shares were offered freely and the price relaxed. Base metals were firmly quoted in view of the advance in London prices.

THAMES THEATRE DIVIDEND OF 3 PER CENT The directors of Thames Theatre, Limited, have decided to recommend a dividend of 3 per cent for the year ended August 31, after paying off the loss incurred in the previous year. The loss last year was £265 and the company has not paid a dividend since 1931, when 8 per cent was distributed.
