OTAGO CONGRATULATED ranfurly shield success JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE GAME The management committee of the Auckland' Rugby Union at its meeting last evening decided to send a letter to the Otago Union congratulating it on the success of its representative team in the rocent Ranfurly Shield challenge match' against Canterbury. ■ An 'application from the Mamtkau Club for. permission to travel to Tnuraiiga next Saturday was granted. It was resolved to offer the _ Thames Valley Union a iunior representative match against an Auckland team at Auckland, the dateß suggested for the game being either Saturday week or October 12. It was decided to write a letter of congratulation to tile Technical Old Boys' Club on the success of its senior team in the Jubilee trophy competition.
